Sparta is hosted through OpenAI Sites. Hosting providers process connection information, such as IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver and protect the service. Search and topic selections are kept in your page address. This website does not create reader accounts or maintain a subscriber database.

The weekly letter

Email subscriptions are not yet active. When they open, subscriptions will be handled by Buttondown. The signup form sends your email address directly to Buttondown. Confirmation is required before you join. Buttondown processes your subscription and delivery information, and provides an unsubscribe link in every newsletter.

We use your address to deliver the newsletter you requested. We do not sell subscriber lists. For provider storage, transfers, retention, and privacy practices, read Buttondown’s privacy policy. You may unsubscribe at any time and request deletion of your subscriber record.

Advertising

Advertising is currently disabled. No AdSense advertising scripts are loaded by this website. Before advertising is enabled, this page will identify the active consent controls. Google may use cookies and other identifiers for ad delivery and measurement, subject to your applicable privacy choices. See how Google uses information from partner sites.

Videos, sharing, and external websites

Videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only when you choose to play them. Opening a source, social sharing service, or newsletter link takes you to that provider. Its privacy policy then applies. Copying an article link does not post it anywhere.
